There is a constant debate in the hoya community for years. Here is our take on Hoya Wayetti, Hoya Shepherdii and Hoya Kentiana. The first picture has all three together, followed by two closeup pictures of each plant. First H. Wayetti, second H. Shepherdii third H. Kentiana.
H. Wayetti has shorter and thicker medium green leaves, with dark lining along the edge. It looks like a small boat. H. Shepherdii looks more like its common name "String bean Hoya", the leaves are very narrow and long up to 10 inches in a dark green color. H. Kentiana has thinner and pointy leaves.
In the group photo here with all three, left - H. Wayetti; right - H. Kentiana and middle front - H. Shepherdii.
We ordered them from two different vendors overseas just to confirm. In Canada it's way more common to have a Wayetti than a Kentiana. Who else but Plants R Us is importing plants for all to know the truth!
